Class Suspension Updates – as of July 28, 2017

Classes remain suspended today as Typhoon Gorio heads northwest off the coast of Luzon while intensifying the Southwest Monsoon. Metro Manila, as well as other parts of Luzon continue to experience moderate to heavy rainfall. Signal number 2 has been declared in the Batanes group of islands while signal number 2 has been raised in Babuyan Islands.

The Office of the President has officially announced that classes in all levels including work in government offices are now suspended in Metro Manila.

The memorandum circular was released today at 1 PM due to the continuous rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and intensified by Typhoon “Gorio”.

Though no tropical cyclone warning has been issued by PAGASA, the western section of Luzon including Metro Manila will continue to experience moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall.
