Our Story

The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) is a non-profit organization established in 1999 which operates the first and only on-air, online and offline media tandem with produced and acquired content focused on the Philippines’ PK-12 curriculum. Its teaching and learning ecosystem includes building capacities of teachers, child development center workers, parents and other stakeholders of education, and awarding schools and education leaders on innovation.

KCFI has been at the forefront of improving education and learning outcomes in Early Childhood Development (ECD) and K-12 education. KCFI provides engaging and research-based multimedia learning resources designed to enhance early reading, numeracy, and oracy skills—fundamental building blocks for a child’s educational success. Additionally, the Foundation is deeply invested in the professional development of educators, equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to effectively nurture young learners.

WhAT We DO

Partnering with the Department of Education, the Early Childhood Care and Development Council, and various government and non-government institutions, KCFI has empowered learners and educators through accessible, innovative, and engaging resources through three key pillars: Learning Resources, Training and Mentoring, and Platforms.

Beyond content development and teacher training, KCFI plays a pivotal role in shaping education policies and driving systemic change. Actively engaging in national discussions, it advocates for reforms that strengthen foundational learning and improve long-term educational outcomes. Through strategic collaborations with government agencies, private organizations, and policymakers, KCFI continues to champion quality early childhood and basic education as a national priority.
