GMA Cavite Receives Knowledge Channel Learning Resources

The Local Government of General Mariano Alvarez (GMA) in Cavite finally received their 10 Knowledge Channel Portable Media Libraries (KCPML) to be used by their public schools during this pandemic.

The KCPMLs were turned over by the Knowledge Channel Foundation (KCFI) team led by its Director of Operations Mr. Edric Calma during a ceremony held at the GMA Cavite Municipal Hall. Acting Mayor Maricel Torres peronsally received the KCPMLs along with members of her local government and representatives from the Schools Division Office of the Department of Education.

“Ako po ay nagpapasalamat sa ating Knowledge Channel dahil kayo ang aming bagong ka-partner pagdating po sa ating pagsusulong ng edukasyon sa aming bayan. Sa tulong po ng inyong program ana ito, yung ating pong Portable [Media] Library, ay malaki po ang maitutulong sa ating mga guro, mag-aaral at ating mga magulang,” Mayor Torres said.

A short hybrid technical training was conducted by Mr. Calma after the ceremony to the principals who were present on-site and to the teachers who participated via Google Meet. This is the first time KCFI mounted a hybrid session where participants were joining in person and online.

The Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library or KCPML is plug-and-play device that carries over 1,500 video lessons from Kinder to Grade 10 and the Alternative Learning System based on the adjusted curriculum of the Department of Education. KCPML is the essential tool for teachers in distance learning. It makes teaching more convenient and engaging and may help improve the learning outcomes of students.
