Martial Law Online Museum Goes Live; Features Knowledge Channel Videos

In remembering the declaration of Martial Law on September 21, Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) recently launched MartialLawMuseum.ph, an online museum/repository and learning system that features episodes of Kasaysayan TV, Knowledge Channel’s curriculum-based series on Philippine History.

The website is a “communal response to counter historical revisionism” especially at a time when trolling and misinformation has become prevalent on the internet. ADMU President Fr. Jose Ramon Villarin at the launch, encouraged everyone especially the younger generations to counter the “climate of disrespect and hate through a climate of vigilance, courage, justice, mutual respect, and dignity.”

The online museum provides multimedia resources for students and teachers on learning about Martial Law including infographics, articles, essays, artworks and videos on the effects and impact of the Marcos dictatorship on the Filipino people. This includes Knowledge Channel videos on Martial Law.

“The multimedia learning resources of Knowledge Channel are available on-air, online and offline for everyone who would like to learn not just milestones in Philippine History but also almost every topic and subject matter in the basic education curriculum,” said Knowledge Channel President Rina Lopez Bautista who graced the occasion.
