“Oyayi” to Air on Knowledge Channel Starting August 22

Your favorite Sunday morning squad on ABS-CBN is now a part of the biggest classroom on-air! CBN Asia’s Oyayi (or “Lullaby” in Filipino) will be airing on Knowledge Channel every Wednesday at 8 am and 6 pm starting August 22.

Join Kuya Maki, played by Icko Gonzales (Kuya Bok of Sineskwela), and the friendly endangered creatures of Oyayi island: Tama Raw, Bon Haribon, Diva Butanding, Tarsiera, and Dok Pil, as they embark on exciting adventures that will test their strength, knowledge and friendship against the evil Dr. Kuwago Zhibago and the Tor-Nil-Yons.

Oyayi aims to cultivate, promote, and rekindle among the youth timeless lessons such as love for family and for others, appreciation for arts and culture, preservation and conservation of our environment and natural resources, wise and responsible use of technology and social media, disaster preparedness and more!

The show also seeks to ignite kids’ passions and love for country, encourage them to be responsible citizens, and equip them to use and maximize their talents and skills to its greatest potential that will benefit the country and future generations to come.

Oyayi is the winner of the 2012 Search for the Coolest Television Proposal of the National Council for Children’s Television (NCCT). It was also awarded as the Best Children and Youth Program at the 39th Catholic Mass Media Awards (CMMA) and Best Children’s Show at the 15th Gawad Tanglaw Awards.
