DepEd Commends KCFI Anew

Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) was lauded anew by the Department of Education (DepEd) for its contributions in helping promote quality basic education in the country.

In ceremonies held on December 12, 2017 at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan at the DepEd Central Office, KCFI President Rina Lopez Bautista and Director of Operations Edric Calma were handed with plaques of appreciation.

KCFI supports DepEd’s mandate of delivering responsive, inclusive, and effective basic education through developing and distributing in its various media platforms, curriculum-based multimedia learning resources for different subjects and grade levels (from kindergarten to high school) and the alternative learning system (ALS), and providing in-service training for teachers and education leaders through Learning Effectively through Enhanced and Evidenced-Based Pedagogies (LEEP) and the Superintendents’ Leadership Program.

Lopez Bautista, speaking for KCFI, pledged to continuously support the various programs of the department and its teachers and learners so that each learner may develop to the best that s/he can be so that s/he may be productive and participate in nation building.

In a previous occasion, DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones has openly commended KCFI not only for producing relevant curriculum-based video episodes, but also for helping the department train its teachers especially in effective teaching and learning strategies for the 21st century learners.
