KCFI, Breeze, DepEd Marikina Joined Forces for an Environmental Campaign
Over 10,000 participants came together last November 26, 2021, to the most anticipated collaboration of Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc., (KCFI) and Breeze, together with the Department of Education City Schools Division Office of Marikina (DepEd Marikina) on the official activation of Eco Squad: Kilos Kabataan Para sa Kapaligiran (KKK), an environmental initiative for elementary school learners in Marikina. The event was held via zoom, google meet, and on facebook live. The project aims to encourage students to protect the environment alongside their community by learning how to reduce waste, recycle plastics, and planting and caring for plants.
The KKK Project, which has three parts: educate, engage, and empower, was based on the competencies identified in the DepEd Grade 3 Science curriculum. It will provide video lessons discussing the importance of plants and trees, recycling and reducing wastes, and creating planters from recyclable materials.
Meanwhile, the main highlight of this campaign is the Eco Diary Contest for the Grade 3 students of Marikina public schools, starting on December 6, 2021, until January 28, 2022. Breeze will be providing gift packages and Eco Diary for the students to write and monitor their weekly missions. The participants are expected to plant and grow a seedling from a recycled planter based on the given timeframe. Winners will be awarded with tablets loaded with Knowledge Channel videos, and Knowledge Channel laptops for the top three schools. The top three winners and the winner with most likes will receive incentive.
In the KCFI’s president, Rina Lopez, opening speech, she mentioned how honored and grateful KCFI to this remarkable collaboration with Breeze and DepED Marikina. “Sa pamamagitan ng KKK, matuturuan ang mga kabataan ng Marikina na magbawas ng itatapon na basura, mag recycle ng plastic, at magtanim at mag-alaga ng halaman. Panigurado, maraming matututunan ang mga estudyante sa video lessons at eco-diary na handog ng KKK.” she said.
(Through the KKK, the children of Marikina will learn how to reduce waste, recycle plastic, planting and caring for plants. Certainly, the video lessons and the eco-diary of the KKK [project] will surely give so much learning to the students)

Mahigit 10,000 participants ang dumalo sa launch ng Eco Squad: Kilos Kabataan Para sa Kapaligiran (KKK), isang proyektong pinangunahan ng Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc., (KCFI) at Breeze kasama ang Department of Education City Schools Division Office of Marikina (DepEd Marikina), noong Nobyembre 26 sa Zoom, Google meet, at Facebook Live. Layunin ng proyektong ito na turuan ang mga elementary students ng Marikina sa tamang pangangalaga ng kanilang komunidad kalakip ang pagre-recycle ng mga plastic, pagtatanim, at pag-aalaga sa mga halaman.
Ang #EcoSquadKKK ay magkakaroon ng #EcoDiaryContest para sa mga Grade 3 students ng pampublikong paaralan ng Marikina. Ito ay magsisimula sa darating na Disyembre 6, 2021 hanggang Enero 28, 2022. Samantala, ang Breeze ay magbibigay ng mga gift packages at Eco Diary upang magsilbing talaan ng mga weekly missions. Inaasahan ang mga kalahok na magtanim ng halaman na kanilang aalagaan at papalaguin sa loob ng itinakdang panahon. Ang mga winners ay makakatanggap ng tablets na may Knowledge Channel videos, at Knowledge Channel laptops para sa tatlong top schools.
