Acknowledging Knowledge Channel Foundation’s (KCFI) continuous efforts in uplifting the lives of Filipino children through media and technology, the Department of Education (DepEd) awarded KCFI with a Certificate of Recognition during an appreciation program last February 12, 2019, at the Bulwagan ng Karunungan, DepEd Complex, Meralco Avenue, Pasig City.

The event was headed by Education Secretary Leonor Briones and Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs, School Partnerships, and School Sports Tonisito M.C. Umali, Esq. with more than 200 partners in attendance. The certificate from DepEd was received by KCFI President and Executive Director, Rina Lopez Bautista and Director of Operations, Edric Calma.

In Umali’s speech, he expressed gratitude to DepEd’s partners in helping the institution achieve its goals. “Dahil po ang mga bagay na dati hindi namin nagagawa, mga bagay na akala namin hindi namin maabot, mga bagay na akala po namin imposible, ngayon ay amin nang nagagawa…dahil po sa inyong lahat, mga pinakamamahal naming partners.”

Since 1999, KCFI has been working closely with DepEd in the production of multimedia learning resources and training for teachers and education leaders.
