KCFI Receives Recognition from Nicanor Garcia ES
“We believe in your school.” – Rina Lopez Bautista
With the commitment of maintaining strong partnerships with public schools, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) received a Certificate of Recognition from Nicanor Garcia Elementary School (NGES) in Makati last 24 March 2017.
KCFI President and Executive Director Rina Lopez Bautista graced the occasion and personally received the Certificate on behalf of the organization. In a short message she delivered, Lopez Bautista said, “while we do this what we do, not for any recognition, but because we believe in your school, we believe in helping others and really doing it because we want to.”
KCFI has partnered with NGES since last year when it became one of schools that underwent the LEEP teacher training program or Learning through Enhanced and Evidence-based Pedagogies. With more than 30 teachers in their faculty, they have been trained with modern teaching strategies that cater to 21st Century learners. This includes collaboration, inquiry learning, and other constructivist approaches. On top of that, more than 1,000 students in NGES get to watch different shows aired on Knowledge Channel.
In their annual Stakeholder’s Day, the school community headed by Principal Mrs. Emelita M. Cajigal prepared a short program as a way of expressing their thanks. “The school cannot do it alone. We need you we need our partners to help our learners to achieve more,” she said in her speech.
At the end of the program, Lopez Bautista signed the Pledge of Commitment along with 23 other stakeholders, a sign of KCFI’s continuing support to NGES.
