The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) has once again produced young individuals who will advocate for advancing the holistic development of Filipino children. This achievement was made possible through the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc.'s Volunteer and Internship Program (KCVIP), which is now in its seventh year.
According to KCFI, the graduates have made significant contributions to the program "across various KCFI domains, including content production, animation, multimedia, human resources, marketing, sales, and schools and community engagement”.
“As KCVIP Champions, you bring hope to countless children, showing them that they matter, that they are capable, and that there is a world of possibilities waiting for them through the projects you have accomplished during your stint at the Knowledge Channel Foundation,” said KCFI President Rina Lopez.
“When we first envisioned the Knowledge Channel Foundation’s Volunteer and Internship Program (KCVIP), we knew we were beginning something special. We saw an opportunity to engage passionate young people—katulad ng bawat isa sa inyo—who could bring fresh ideas, boundless energy, and a deep commitment to making a difference. We believed that by harnessing these, we could amplify our efforts to reach even more children, create richer educational content, and bring impact to more communities across the country,” Lopez added.
The Knowledge Channel Volunteer and Internship Program (KCVIP) has been recognized by numerous partner universities for its outstanding contributions to education and capacity-building.
In 2019, KCVIP was honored with the prestigious Lopez Achievement Award in Operations Management, a testament to its ability to consistently produce high-quality educational materials and resources with minimal investment.
This recognition highlights the program’s efficiency, innovative approach, and dedication to creating impactful content that benefits both educators and students across the country.
“Knowledge Channel’s innovative approach, supported by contributions from volunteers like you, has resulted in the creation of valuable educational resources that are benefiting over 200,000 teachers and 10 million students nationwide. And, so here we are today, to recognize this year’s batch of amazing volunteers and interns who have continued the legacy of past volunteers and interns. Like many before you, your commitment to supporting the uplifting of the quality of basic education has elevated you to become agents of meaningful change in this country,” said KCFI Board Member and President of the Healthcare and Education Group of First Philippine Holdings (FPH) Joaquin E Quintos IV.
The graduation ceremony also coincided with the celebration of KCFI’s 25th anniversary.
The theme, “May K Tayo: Bridging Knowledge for Impact,” reaffirms the foundation’s commitment to providing quality education and opportunities for Filipino children.
“Pinatunayan niyo na May K Kayo: kinayanan ninyo ang lahat para makapagsilbi. Makatulong sa kapwang nangangailangan. Hinayaang kuminang ang inyong talentong kayang gawin. Nakayanan ninyo, mga kabataang Pinoy. Dahil may K kayo!” Lopez said to the graduates.
