Knowledge Channel joins DOST Sci and Tech Week

In celebration of the Department of Science and Technology’s Regional Science and Technology Week of the PAMARISAN  Cluster, Knowledge Channel held a mini quiz bee and a short film showing at Rizal High School.

Participated by Elementary  and High School Students from Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan, KCH screened one episode of Puno Ng Buhay. The episode explains the Impact of humans on the ecosystem, specifically their contributions to pollution, climate change and global warming. It talks of ways on how to prevent such occurrences.

And as a part of DOST’s celebration of RSTW, DOST inks a partnership with Knowledge Channel which will aide both organizations to promote awareness on Science, Technology and innovation.

Through this collaboration, Knowledge Channel will be developing videos and other multimedia materials to help the DOST in disseminating information and its advocacy in promoting sustainable development goals.

Signing the Memorandum of Understanding were Ms. Rina Lopez-Bautista, President and Executive Director of KCFI, and Mr. Jose Patalinjug III, Regional Director of DOST-NCR.

“We’ve been looking for partners to help us in promoting awareness on Science and Technology and Knowledge Channel is one of the platforms that really captures a wide audience and I think that this (partnership) accelerates our measures in promoting our advocacy.”  Expresses Patalinjug III.

The MOU signing was held at Rizal High School, Pasig City last October 1, 2019 during the opening of the Regional Science and Technology Week.
