With the aim of showcasing quality educational media content to a global audience, Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. (KCFI) participated in the very first Southeast Asia Prix Jeunesse (SEAPJ), a video festival for, by, and with the children of Southeast Asia. In line with celebrating 50 years of ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations), all 10 member countries have submitted video entries for the competition. Hundreds of guests from around the Philippines and abroad gathered at the Peninsula Manila from November 27-29 to watch all the finalists, participate in different workshops, and witness the grand winners of the festival.
Knowledge Channel’s “Salam” was the Philippines’ official entry to the Southeast Asia Prix Jeunesse in the Professional Non-Fiction Category 13-17 years old. The three other entries came from Lao PDR, Myanmar, and Vietnam.
During the three-day event, KCFI had set up a booth along with other AnakTV network members to present our programs and projects for children and education. The Knowledge Channel booth played a show reel of its latest shows like Knowledge on the Go, Agricoolture, Mathdali, Sesame Street and more. Visitors also got to try out Knowledge Channel’s interactive games and follow its social media accounts. Freebies and channel guides were also given away so guests can easily follow the channel’s programs and schedule.
