Knowledge Channel launches book drive for Basa Bilang Project

In anticipation of its 20th Foundation Anniversary, Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) has launched a storybook donation drive for its Basa Bilang Project which is developing  multimedia/animation videos and training grade 1 teachers on beginning reading and math. The videos are based on the Department of Education Teacher’s Guides and Learner Materials and well-loved story books from Adarna House, Tahanan Books, Vibal Publishing, Anvil Publishing, and Lampara Books.

Part of project deliverables is donating 2 sets of the 16 storybooks that appear in Grade 1 TGs for Filipino and English for the 18 pilot public schools in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. 36 sets at the least need to be raised by August 2019 in time for the Basa Bilang pilot launch. The story books will be used in conjunction with the videos that KCFI is developing.

Everyone is encouraged to participate in the drive by either donating brand new story books from any of the listed titles below or donating in cash to be used for purchasing the books.

For book donations, please drop them off at the KCFI office at:

3/F ABS-CBN Main Building, Sgt. Esguerra Ave., Diliman, Quezon City

For cash donations, please reach out to Ms. Liberty Reyes at liberty.reyes@knowledgechannel.org for instructions.
