Knowledge Channel Launches Mini-Documentary Competition for Students

BY AZRAEL GONZALES

Knowledge Channel, ABSCBN and Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE), officially opens Class Project, a mini-documentary competition for students. Those currently enrolled in any educational institution with faculty members who are members of the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) may submit documentaries  based on Knowledge Channel’s core values of social justice, passion to serve, commitment to holistic learning, integrity and nationalism.

“The project aims to spotlight relevant social issues while giving a platform to student producers and content creators who come up with high-quality content for broadcast,” said Danie Sedilla-Cruz, Channel Head of Knowledge Channel in an interview with Manila Standard. “As the title already implies, there are so many class projects like documentaries, especially by communication students, that are well-produced and should be shared.”

The top three winning entries will receive a cash prize of Php30,000 (first place), Php20,000 (second place), and Php10,000 (third place). The 10 winning mini-documentaries will be aired on Knowledge Channel’s Class Project Winners’ Fesitval.

Deadline of entries is on November 30, 2017
