‘Thank you’: Netizens echo Knowledge Channel’s impact

Netizens acknowledge Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc.’s (KCFI) impact of its 20 years of enriching education.

Former ABS-CBN’s General Manager Atty. Jake Almeda-Lopez said KCFI is a very important public service provided. According to Lopez, “Knowledge Channel was even cited and awarded by the United Nations as one of the most effective public service programs in the country.”

KFCI President and Executive Director Rina Lopez Bautista recalled she was invited at the 59th Annual United Nations Department of Public Information and Non-Government Organization (UN DPI/NGO) Conference to talk about the work of KCFI as an institution dedicated to educate and empower poor and marginalized children through media and technology, 15 years ago.

Bautista said, “I said that every time someone asked why I do what I do, I said it is because I can and because I should. I am a Filipino, in the service of Filipinos.”

The KCFI has trained thousands of teachers across the archipelago in 21st century pedagogy and used technological innovations to uplift the quality of education in the country knowing that children are visual learners.

KCFI’s services has been affirmed online by netizens.
