WHAT IS PRIME?

PROGRAM FOR INCLUSIVE AND INNOVATIVE MASTER EDUCATORS

There is an urgent need to address the low language literacy and numeracy skills in the primary grades. PRIME is a certificate program for K to 3 teachers who teach in marginalized community schools. It is an in-depth 15-unit, 10-month, 5-module program, whose units count towards a master’s degree. It was built with tight collaboration between Knowledge Channel Foundation and the country’s leading universities.

Starting 2019, PRIME aims to train 70 teachers from remote and underserved areas in the Philippines where around 3,500 students from the primary grades and 140 other teachers can benefit from their leadership and education formation.

THROUGH PRIME, TEACHERS GRADUATE AS:

Competent Experts
Ethical and competent professionals with passion for excellence.

Leaders
Concerned and committed transformative agents who enable unique individuals across varied cultures and contexts to become lifelong leaders.

Innovators
Research-oriented and reflective risk-takers who promote positive change.
