Be #WeatherWiser with These New KCh Videos

Two new shows are now available on Knowledge Channel’s YouTube page and Portable Media Libraries!

Those who want to learn more about the weather can now watch Weather Wiser Ka Na Ba? and Weather Wizards, two shows produced by Weather Philippines Foundation or WeatherPH.

Founded in 2012, WeatherPH is a multi-sectoral initiative that aims to disseminate accurate, efficient and timely weather updates for every Filipino. Through its partnership with KCFI, WeatherPH envisions to build a #WeatherWiser Nation by optimizing weather knowledge for disaster risk reduction and socio-economic development.

Weather Wiser Ka Na Ba? is a series of 12 informative episodes that discuss the science behind different weather phenomena. Topics on climate change, weather elements, humidity, and everything in between are discussed interactively in less than 5 minutes.

Weather Wizards on the other hand is a colorful animation series geared towards younger audiences. The show revolves around the characters of Tito Nilo, Tito Mike, Kuya Neil, Kuya Adonis, the WeatherPhilippines app, Pil D. Pig, and Mico Manok. Basic yet critical topics on weather are discussed on each episode which includes storm surges, landslides, and flash floods.

With the addition of these new shows to Knowledge Channel’s growing library of multimedia educational resources, kids and teachers alike will find something interesting to watch and learn more about as they become #WeatherWiser.
