Further strengthening the Knowledge Channel Volunteer and Internship Program or KCVIP, Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc, (KCFI) received an award from iAcademy for being an Outstanding Industry Partner during their Industry Partner’s Night last January 30, 2019, at the  iAcademy Nexus Capmpus in Yakal, Makati City.

The award was received by KCFI President and Executive Director, Rina Lopez Bautista who also served as the event’s keynote speaker.

In her speech, Lopez-Bautista lauded the game-changing animation skills of the iAcademy interns and how they have contributed to the advocacy of providing quality learning materials to Filipino children, particularly through the Basa Bilang Project. “Imagine every Filipino child able to learn well because of the excellent and ‘game-changing’ animation outputs of these kids,” she said. “Through these videos and the educational television packages donated by our generous benefactors, Filipino kids and their teachers can learn better and teach better because they have better educational materials.”

In return, Lopez Bautista also promised that she would continue her support for the interns by providing them opportunities for training such as animation conferences and monthly Learners’ Circles, where interns meet leaders in their respective industries. Lastly, Lopez-Bautista encouraged fellow industry partners toalso be game-changers for education.
