Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) supports the empowerment of children through the very first Be The Change Children’s Conference.

Organized by Design For Change in the Philippines, the first ever children-led conference in the country was held at St. Scholastica College, Manila on October 12, 2019 and participated by educators, children, youth, social organizations, and artists. The day was filled with fun activities and workshops that the participants enjoyed.

Design for Change Philippines and Knowledge Channel shares the same advocacy and both believes that the children are our today and children are capable of upholding the “I CAN” mindset.

KCFI’s Director for Operations, Edric Calma, delivered a journalism workshop focusing on the importance of being able to distinguish fake news news from real news published by reliable sources.

Serving as one of the main highlights of the event, the official delegates of the Philippines for the “I Can Children’s Global Summit (ICCGS)” was also announced. A fundraising campaign also kicked-off to send the Filipino delegates to the summit. The ICCGS will be held in the last week of November at the Vatican.
