KCFI, with BDO Foundation and Huawei Philippines, bring Teacher Training to #100SchoolsNationwide!
March 2023 - BDO Foundation, Huawei Philippines and Knowledge Channel Foundation Inc. achieved its goal of connecting 100 schools nationwide through the Knowledge Channel Teaching in the New Normal (KCTINN).
KCTINN project sent the Knowledge Channel Portable Media Library containing MathDali videos for Grade 1 students and 3-day technical training for the teachers in equipping them with strategies integrating technology and video lessons for 21st century learning.
The MathDali video lessons developed under this partnership is set to broadcast in May 2023. It aims to provide Grade 1 learners with an up-to-date approach to learning traditional concepts in Mathematics.
For this new season of the program, we will be following the adventures of Matty, an inquisitive 7 year-old girl, and Kunkun, her bunny friend, as they learn more about coins and bills, addition, and subtraction in the MathDali style, which has allowed the show to receive multiple accolades, such as Gawad Juan’s Best TV Show of the Year for Education Award in 2021.
Today, this initiative has partnered with 100 schools from different Schools Division Offices from Dumaguete, Dasmariñas City, Davao Oriental, Bukidnon, Mandaue, Roxas City, Isabela, Siargao, recently in 2023, Legazpi, and Tabuk. As of March 12, 2023, a total of 1224 teachers and 20 school heads participated in the training.
“This webinar is comprehensive but captivating because we did not think that this is an additional task or burden to our loads, but it did enrich our knowledge and increase our desirable quality attributes in teaching and learning,” Mr. Noel Bayno, the principal of South City Elementary School added.
