Learning continues at home with Knowledge Channel

Filipino children affected by the COVID-19 Enhanced Community Quarantine can catch up with their lessons through Knowledge Channel on-air and online.

Education must continue even in times of disaster.

That is why as a response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd), strengthens the implementation of EduKalidad sa Kalamidad, an emergency education program where alternative modes of delivery like Knowledge Channel (on TV) and knowledgechannel.org (online) are encouraged.

KCFI is also working hand-in-hand with ABS-CBN with “Stay at Home, Learn at Home” in informing the public, especially the children, to stay at home to help stop the transmission of the virus and to continue learning with the use of media and technology.

Ways children can continue learning at home with Knowledge Channel:

  1. Television – As the first and only curriculum-based all Filipino educational channel in the country, Knowledge Channel airs educational programs based on the K-to-12 Curriculum of DepEd from Grades 1 to 10. Fourth quarter topics will start airing from April to May 2020.

  2. Online – Children may also find Knowledge Channel’s educational videos online via our YouTube channel /knowledgechannelorg, through the “Stay at Home, Learn at Home” microsite at knowledgechannel.org, and commons.deped.gov.ph. More than 1,000 educational videos, lessons, and digital resources from Grades 1 to 10 are available covering all subjects including English, Math, Science, Filipino, AP, TLE, and MAPEH.

  3. Social Media – Learning is also extended on Knowledge Channel’s Facebook page /knowledgechannel where kids can watch educational videos, read informational cards and daily show schedules.
