Lopez Group Foundation, Inc,. (LGFI) granted the wish of Dumalogdog Elementary School to be able to watch Knowledge Channel via the installation of Sky Direct and a portable media library.

In a turnover ceremony last July 19, Knowledge Channel Foundation (KCFI) delivered a Gift of Knowledge package which included an LCD TV, a Sky Direct satellite dish, and a portable media library with more than 1,000 Knowledge Channel videos, e-modules, and games.

Doris Nuval, KCFI Access, Schools, and Community Engagement Head, personally delivered the package on behalf of LGFI. She was welcomed by the teachers, students, and principal Albert  D. Hisoler who personally wrote to LGFI requesting Knowledge Channel resources for their school. Thanks to the generosity of LGFI, the school can now watch Knowledge Channel videos on-air and offline, anytime.

Grade 6 Master Teacher Rosita Macadaya expressed her eagerness to use the newly-provided educational materials. “Gamamitin ko po ang Knowledge Channel sa pamamagitan ng pag-integrate nito sa iba’t ibang subjects especially sa English, Science, Math, and Social Studies. Kasi especially ngayon sa grade 6 wala po kaming textbooks. Kaya ang Knowledge Channel ay mahalaga talaga bilang reference.”

Lopez Group Foundation, Inc. (LGFI) is a non-stock, non-profit organization that functions as a social, charitable institution. It also coordinates the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives of the Lopez Group of Companies, which is into, energy, real estate, manufacturing, broadcasting and communications.
