Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) and Schools Division Office of Taguig City and Pateros held its virtual Memorandum of Agreement signing of partnership for EcoProject Year 2: Kilos Kabataan para sa Kapaligiran, an educational and environmental advocacy with Unilever-Breeze Philippines last September 8, 2022, via Zoom.

EcoProject Year 2 has three phases: Educate, Engage, and Empower. Through this project, students will be taught about environmental safety and conservation. It aims to inspire children, parents, and teachers to create a sustainable environment through a collective effort in educating the youth on reducing waste, recycling, planting activities, among others.

The ceremony was attended by Ms. Rina Lopez, President and Executive Director of KCFI, Mr. Edric C. Calma, Director of Operations of KCFI, Ms. Liberty Reyes, Resource Mobilization Manager, Mr. Mark Caneso, Innovations and Design for Unilever-Breeze, Usec. Gerard L. Chan, Undersecretary for Legislative Affairs and Partnerships of Department of Education, and Dr. Ellery G. Quintia, Curriculum and Implementation Division Chief, together with representatives from the following schools:

  • Aguho Elementary School

  • P. Manalo Elementary School

  • RP Cruz Elementary School

  • Sta. Ana Elementary School

  • Taguig Integrated School

  • Tipas Elementary School

Ms. Julia Ng-Pineda, Category Innovations Design Manager- Home Care, Unilever, believes that small efforts bring great change, thus signing the memorandum of agreement (MOA) with KCFI, and Taguig City and Pateros after its successful collaboration with Marikina City last year.

"Each and every child is capable of change not only for himself, but also for his environment and for the world," Ms. Julia said.

Stay tuned for an upcoming virtual kickoff event this month of September to officially launch EcoProject Year 2 in Taguig City and Pateros!
